On 16 August 2018, severe floods affected the south Indian state Kerala, due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. It was the worst flood in Kerala in nearly a century.
A fundraising campaign was conducted by the Eric Boys Welfate Association volunteers around the Dharavi slum areas and gathered decent amount of money from kind hearted people who were willing to donate for the needy. The collected amount was then transfered to Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.
